« How to Make Your Work More Lasting - Shaheen Wirk »

In Chapter 10 of 17 in his 2012 Capture Your Flag interview, hedge fund analyst Shaheen Wirk answers "How are You Learning to Make Your Work More Lasting?"  Wirk talks about how he is learning to make a more consistent and permanent contribution in both his charitable work and his professional work.  In his charity work, he notes steps he is taking to find partnerships that enable a virtuous cycle between the charitable fundraising and grant giving initiatives.  In his career thinking, Wirk learns about building duration, legacy and length into a concept he calls his "professional home."  Shaheen Wirk is a senior hedge fund analyst for Bridger Capital focused on pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device investment research and analysis.  Wirk earned his BS in Biology and Joint MD / MBA degrees from Duke University.  He co-founded the Dream Hope Believe Foundation / Brant Walton Memorial Fund to provide grants to children and young people who have lost parents to cancer.
