Lamourelle highlights the overlapping diet change and sedentary lifestyle issues affecting resource poor urban settings in both the U.S. and India. She finds many similarities in designing health programs to tackle obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease problems across countries. Lamourelle graduated with a BS in Sociology from University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Sociomedical Sciences from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
