In Chapter 8 of 21 in her 2010 Capture Your Flag interview with host Erik Michielsen, global health consultant Gabrielle Lamourelle details why intervention mapping and program planning became a priority in her public health career development. Working in Uganda, Lamourelle's field work experience, including working with the ministry of health (MOH), informs her understanding of how effective service delivery can target each level of society. During an internship in southern India while studying at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, Lamourelle refines her structured approach to using intervention mapping to help people acutalize health needs. Lamourelle graduated with a BS in Sociology from University of California at Berkeley and a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Sociomedical Sciences from the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.
